  • Has This Ever Happened To You?

Have you ever had your Xanga subscriptions emailed to you and then, from your inbox, clicked on a comments link to go to that person's post to see the comments people had made?  Then after reading everything you decide to comment yourself.  You spend all this time carefully composing your words because you're trying to help the person with suggestions because they've asked for help, and then when you submit it the sign-in box appears.  The only problem is when you're on Xanga and the post you're commenting on is on Dollarish or some other ish-site, it won't let you sign-in even when you click on the pull-down box to put the correct sign-in site.  You can't click the back button and you can't go forward without signing in (and I have yet to get it to work!) because if you do, you're entire comment is gone . . . kaput, after spending all that time to make it just right!  Major tick off!!!

A lot of times I don't have time to rewrite the whole thing over again, and this is irritating, especially if you know it could really be of some help.  Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, then Xanga should look into fixing it.  If it's just me, what am I doing wrong (other than forgetting to sign-in first BEFORE commenting)?

  • Have you ever been unable to reconcile a friendship? What happened?

I had a best friend that I grew up with; we knew each other ever since she was four and I was five.  She lived down the street from me and we would always be playing at each other's houses.  Now the kids in our neighborhood always played games together out in the street, but Paula and I would also play with our dolls or go swimming in their pool, and did things that only best friends do together.

When I was in the fifth grade, a family from Costa Rica moved in next door to Paula.  There was a girl around our age and she and her brother sometimes played with us as well.  We became close friends until one day she said that she wanted to be my best friend.  I told her that Paula had always been my best friend, but that she could be my best friend too, and I'll just have two best friends.  Well, she didn't want any of that, and insisted that I choose her as my best friend or she wouldn't be my friend at all.  I told her that I couldn't do that because I have known Paula my whole life.

From that point on she became the meanest, most obnoxious thing ever!  I didn't know anyone could be so mean and hateful.  She'd call me all kinds of names, wrote long letters to me just filled with name-calling and spiteful things, insulting my family and my Japanese mom.  I showed the letters to my dad and he said to just ignore them, that she was the one with the problem and I didn't need friends like that anyway.  She never spoke another word to me since.

We went through junior high, then high school, without saying a word to each other.  Her sister worked in a shoe store and I saw her occasionally, and she was always very nice to me.  She never asked what had happened for which I was very grateful.  I have often wanted to go over and patch things up, but I figured it wouldn't do any good; that if she wanted to be friends again, she knew where I was.

We've both been married and have kids and her parents still live in that same house.  Whenever I went back to visit my mom I would see her kids playing outside and wondered if she had ever regretted acting that way.  Time has a way of moving things forward and we tend to get on with our lives regardless of the mistakes of the past.  I would still love to reconcile because I had forgiven her a long time ago.  Maybe she feels the same way, who knows.

Since my mom has passed on I don't have any reason to go back to California unless it's to visit old friends.  I am planning on going to our high school class reunion next summer so who knows, maybe we'll meet there.

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

  • What the Government Isn't Telling Us About the Medical Industry

This is something I have suspected for a long time, but only while doing some recent research on the subject of Cancer was I able to find some exposing links on articles that shed some light upon this topic.  It all started when I read an excerpt from an issue of Millionaire Magazine that featured Paul Orberson of FHTM.  About the middle of page 100 there was a section titled, Paul Orberson: The Rest of the Story, Finding Hope In a Hopeless Diagnosis.  It basically tells how he was diagnosed with cancer; had a tumor the size of a softball on his kidney, and was only given a 50% chance of living for a year.  Of course, being rich, a lot of people knew him and he started getting letters from people who told him what doctors to see; that cancer was no big deal and that he could beat it.  One doctor hinted that there was a reason why no American President has ever died of cancer.  Hmm, could it be that they actually know something that they're not telling the rest of the American people (among a lot of other things as well, I'm sure)?  So I decided to dig deeper by checking out some more links.

I found this video of an interview with Dr. Raymond Francis, author of the book, Never Be Sick Again.  It's almost an hour long, but definitely worth listening to.

There are also several videos on this site, PH Miracle Living.  The first video talks about a young boy who completely recovered from and no longer has Type I Diabetes just by changing his diet and eating certain types of food.

Here's another interesting pdf article, Alkalize or Die.

Food chart listing alkaline foods and acid producing foods.

It all boils down to: we are what we eat.  As a society, we're so used eating certain things and many of them are just so darn good we can't NOT eat them, and we don't even take into consideration whether or not they're actually good for us.  In fact, many things that we think are good for our health are actually doing more harm than good according to some of these articles and videos.

Now I know that many of you will think that this is all a bunch of BS and these people are just whacko nut cases, but if you think about it, many of the things we enjoy today came from the results of people who society thought were crazy at first: Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison and so forth.

We have all put our trust in doctors for so long and they keep giving us more pills, more tests, more specialists to go to.  Why?  Because the medical industry is a billion dollar business; the more pills and treatments they can give us means more money in their pockets.  A lot of doctors may not even be aware of this themselves, but I think that EVERY avenue of hope should be thoroughly investigated no matter how crazy it may sound.  If they told us that we could reverse a lot of our diseases, illnesses, pain, and suffering just by changing our diet, the medical industry would be bankrupt in no time, and so the government keeps that little secret to themselves.

Paul Orberson overcame his cancer and has never had a relapse.  Others have beaten not only cancer, but several other diseases as well, so it's been proven that these methods do work.  It just makes me sick to think that millions of children are having to go through the pain, horrors, and trauma of radiation and chemotherapy when all they need to do is try changing their diet.  I mean, it's worth a try, isn't it?

This makes it look like the government is allowing millions of innocent children (and adults) to die needlessly while they put up a false front of needing funds for cancer research when they already know the answer.  They are using us to get our money for their own purposes, and this is outrageously wrong!

Another big problem is so many of us love to eat that we are slaves to our cravings.  Many people can't control what they eat or how much they eat.  The majority of our entire population (at least here in the states, and especially here in the south) is beginning to consist of overweight or obese children and adults.  It used to be that our average life span was longer than our former ancestors, but if we keep going like we are, we're going to end up eating ourselves to death.  Sad but true.

So what do you think of these articles and videos?  Are they just BS to you or do you think it's worth trying?

About Me

  • I have always been a VERY deep thinker and enjoy pondering and meditating on things. I love nature especially the mountains, photography; and quiet, peaceful surroundings. I've homeschooled my son off and on for about six and half years now, but next year he's going to go to our local high school where my husband teaches. If I can't get a job right away, I plan on getting back into doing some photography again as well as some of my other interests.
